Meet Mary Axelsen, Founder & CEO
Mary Axelsen is a former Fortune 250 HR executive, leadership strategist, and organizational transformation expert. She built WeMaax Consulting to challenge outdated systems and create lasting impact for companies and individuals alike. With deep experience in organizational design, leadership development, DEI strategy, and disruption management, Mary is known for her ability to ask the tough questions, push past comfort zones, and drive real change all while developing strong relationships with clients, making them feel seen, heard, and valued.
Mary is a certified Leadership Coach, Essential Facilitator, and Changes Style Indicator practitioner, and has a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Deeply committed to her community and social justice, Mary is a Board Member for ProsperityME, Leader Level Member of Women United, United Way of Southern Maine and an angel investor in women-owned startups with How Women Invest. Mary works to disrupt the balance of economic power and get more wealth in the hands of female business owners, particularly women of color.
